Welcome! We’re Cristina and Aitor, the voices behind Reunited by Adventure Family. Originally from Spain, we moved to Portland, Oregon, in 2011 to focus on our careers. Since then, our family reunions have become opportunities for unforgettable adventures. By sharing our love for travel with our parents, we’ve encouraged them to try experiences they might not have considered on their own

In 2020, we welcomed our first baby, Aimar, and like many, faced the challenges of staying connected during the COVID pandemic. Once borders reopened in 2021, we planned our first big family trip to Maui, Hawaii, bringing together four grandparents, one aunt, and us. Christmas that isn’t white made absolutely no sense to us, so we headed up north to Lapland for 2022 Christmas—a magical winter wonderland that delighted every generation. 

In 2023, we welcomed our second son, Ibon, and continued our family travels. These trips are more than vacations; they are opportunities to bond across generations while learning about different cultures, histories, traditions, and cuisines. For example, we explored the Yucatán Peninsula to immerse ourselves in Mayan culture and traditions—a rewarding experience for young and old alike.
